Question by tokixjam: Why can’t I drink alcohol after a laser hair removal session?
So I had my first laser hair removal procedure done on my underarms today.
What found strange was that one of the after care instructions was “No drinking alcohol until a week after the procedure”.
I have tried to Google this and find out why, but nothing has come up. The only thing I can think of is because alcohol thins the blood? But I don’t quite see the correlation with laser hair removal.
I’m wondering if anyone who has gotten this procedure done before has been told the same thing or if a dermatologist can help me.

Hi,
I have had laser and IPL hair removal treatments myself for years at many different clinics and have never ever been told this. I’ve read a number of different aftercare advice sheets and have never come across this. Not sure why they are telling you not to drink alcohol – you should ask your clinic.
I can say from personal experience that I have been out for drinks straight after laser hair removal treatments and haven’t experienced any side effects!!

Question by paoroble: How do I shave my underarm after having 7 sessions of laser hair removal?
Here is the deal: I underwent 7 sessions of laser hair removal but now (after 3 months) I’m noticing the hair is growing again: it’s very very thin, blond, and of about 1 cm. long already; I know you can barely see it but I’m still uncomfortable and self conscious going sleeveless.
Right now I’m unable to pay for more sessions, so I’m wondering which method would do “less harm” to the results? wax, electric shaver, or razors?
I’d appreciate if you share what you know about this…
Thanks!

I think you should try waxing it. Waxing can cause your hair to grow less over time anyway.

Question by Rocio T: “Hair Laser removal” Is it normal to have blisters on your face after hair laser removal?
Hello yesterday I has my second secession on my face for hair laser removal, but when I got home I noticed right away that I had a blister full of water ready to pop ( sorry kinda nasty) and some parts of my face were hurting way more than last time, So today I woke up and have like 6 blisters on my face it seems like the laser was to hot and burned my skin. Can the laser burn my skin? should it burn my skin? Are this blisters normal??

Did you have this same issue after your first session? If not, I’d check with place were you had removal and talk to them and then go see a doctor.
I hope it’s only temporary and goes away after a few days.

Question by Dadof4Kiddies: Why would my friend not work when she is healthy? She says she is “too stressed” to work after 3 years
My friend (female) is 24. About 3 years ago she worked at a telemarketing company and ended up leaving there saying that she was too stressed from work. She collected disability and then met a guy on the internet and moved out of state and married him after knowing him 6 months.
She has been married 2 years and every time I talk to her she says she is doing “a little better” and is still not working. She says they have no money to even have a car, but she can’t work because of her health. I have seen her many times since she moved and she acts and looks 100% healthy. I asked her if she went to the doctor and she says she hasn’t been to see one in years. Her husband wants her to get a job, but she says she is not healthy enough to work. Also her sister left her job 10 months ago saying she was “stressed” and is still on disability now too.
I am confused why she wouldn’t be working after 3 years, could she still be collecting disability checks and maybe thats why she won’t work?

Question by jaedacoy: “pepperspots” after laser hair removal? anyone else?
ive been told countless times they will go away… but its been like 4 treatments now.. and they remain stuck. ive scrubbed, tweezed, and left them alone..
they remain intact before and after ever laser hair removal treatment..
especially on my legs.. and im a bit worried that they will be permanent. i am covered in them.
1% of hair fell out on my legs.. the rest is stuck .
anyone have the same experience with laser?
and would bleaching the pepperspots work?
(by pepperspots i mean little tiny dots of hair stuck in the follicle)
thank u.

Answer by Assara Laser
Hi,
The best way to cure pepperspots is by regular exfoliation of the skin. Try using a coarse sugar scrub and a very rough loofa during your showers.

Question by Heather: Are there any truly FREE data recovery programs to recover deleted files after a system restore is performed?
My friend performed a system restore on her computer & a lot of her important files were lost. She tried a program called “UNDELETE” by Paretologic & it found the lost files, but then wanted her to pay $ 65 for her to actually restore the lost files. It didn’t say anything about having to pay until that point. I’m hoping there might be some out there that are truly free & if so, which ones?

Question by Melissa Cronin: After having laser hair removal and acne laser treatment, when is it safe to tan again?

They say you are supposed to wait 6 weeks. Try a spray tan rather than actual tanning.
