Question by : Telemarketing Skills please?
Hello, I’ve been working with a telemarketing company in Asia for a few months and for your information I’m selling Insurance from the No.1 Insurance company(2011) and selling them to the largest International bank’s customer in the world so there are three companies exactly. The question is, how am I going to sell better because, in a week I can only make 2-3 sales considering the huge amount of insurance’s premium. However my senior can make between 5-6 sales every week with a very high premium. When I asked them how to do it, of course the tell me how to sell the best way however I still can’t sell properly and I really need the commission for my life expenses. Sometimes, when I tried to close a sale unfortunately the customer decline said “premium to high”, “will consider”, etc. So how it is exactly to make sales thru the phone. Man, I’m really broke and I need a lot of money to pay my college’s loan and I have to send money to my family, and I don’t even have enough food. I would like to hear your suggestions guy, my Team Leader said, “I Know you are working hard to give sales, just stay calm sooner or later you can catch up with everyone else”. I don’t know, am I having a bad luck?(I don’t believe thou). Even I pray everyday still God haven’t answer me(I’m hoping soon). Actually I love this job since there is no commission cap. However don’t lecture me about a good telemarketing, I know it very well and please give me some real answers and any advice for me. I know, most of the people hate telemarketer however, that’s only way for me to gain some life expenses. Please anybody give me some advice.
Thank you in advance.
hmm good advice. but in the http://www.alldaypa.com/positive-telemarketing you’ve given me. All of them are filled. eg 1-flexibility- surely penetration level is much more higher after that’s why our working hour is extended, 2-Tempting is even worst? I don’t think so cz, part time tend to be the top performance since their salary is lower so they often work harder(but not as me) plus when we you are talking about training, surely i got tons of training before we are enter the company.3- Data- Man since this is marketing not about sales oriented of course our customers are the chosen group(high end customer) world class international bank. 4)-environment- Say no call centre is really silent, absolutely working space is really noisy compared to auction. When you are talking about system, man we got the best system perhaps. auto dial, super encrypted profile, voip phone(no manual dial), good headset(noise reduction tech), Statistics record(closed record and effective) you can

Good verbal communcation skills are a must! Speak clearly & build a rapport with the person on the other end of the phone. Attitude is also important. You must enjoy speaking to the person, be confident, energetic and vibrant. Ask questions and take note of what the client is saying to you.

Question by ♥Reels O’Ribbon♥: Wachovia Bank/telemarketing Scandal? Help?
I got a letter and a check in the mail for $ 258.90 from the United States Court Settlement Administrator. It appears to be a real check..no “NOT A CHECK” written on it anywhere. It requires positive ID to cash it says on the back.
The letter explains that money was deducted from my account thru a telemarketing scandal. I vaguely remember speaking to the telemarketing company in question…
the details are too long to list here so here is the website given with the letter http://restitutionpayment.com/
The letter also gave a phone number. It says “please call if you have questions about the legitimacy of this check” I called it and listened to the automated message it explained that these people were being brought to court and when/where it was happening I could go if I wanted.
I do not have to call anyone..give any info to anyone….or do anything. it says “you should cash/deposit this check. the money is yours”
It also gives me a form to refund any bank fees incurred…which I’m not going to bother with.
On monday I’m going to bring it to my bank and verify it being a real check and all that….
I don’t want to get excited …as I’m having a really rough time with christmas and all….and this would be a real “christmas miracle” lol…so
What do you think? Do you think its real?
please go to the site….and read the details.

btw it says it was in 2006 in march…I don’t recall the money being taken out. BUT it was right around the time I received my income tax check..and was making alot of purchases with my debit card…so thats why I might not have noticed.
no they aren’t asking me to send money anywhere.
I don’t need to contact anyone at all…just cash the check. It doesn’t even say I have to deposit it…just cash.

Smells like a scam to me. Are they asking you to wire any money somewhere? Definite sign of a scam.
When you go to the bank, take that letter with you and show it to the teller.

Well, the first obvious thing to establish is if the money was taken out of your account in the first place. If it was, then this is probably legit. Just talk to the bank.

Question by annabanana: How to report a telemarketer who won’t stop calling?
A telemarketer first called my cell phone about 4-5 weeks ago, about 3-4 times per week for a couple weeks. The call just showed up as a missed call (I can’t answer my phone during the day due to my job). When I called the number I got the answering service for a telemarketing company. It said to leave my information to be put on their “do-not-call” list, so I did that. I also registered for the national do not call list at that time (though it was less than a month ago, March 4).
The calls began again soon after, so I called again to be removed, twice in fact.
The calls stopped again for a few days and began again yesterday.
I suppose I can just wait until the month is up to report them to the do not call list, but I’m so fed up I want to get them in trouble, now.
Anything I can do?

It does take a little time for the do not call list thing to kick in. Meanwhile, just screen your calls through your caller i.d. Any caller you don’t recognize, don’t answer the phone.

Question by rcoli: Am I the only person getting phone calls from on line colleges?
Hello. I keep getting these phone calls all hours of the day and night from online colleges, most noteably the University Of Phoenix, but other colleges also claiming I filled out an online application, which I did not. I’m on the “do not call registry” and for the most part the telemarketing has stopped.
The people who do the calling seem to act as if I’m not the only one who has unwanted calls from them, and they claim to remove me from their list, but I still get calls from the same numbers on my caller i.d.. I did a search online for those numbers thinking that others maybe getting the same calls, but I get nothing. Have you gotten a call like this?

Yes. I have received many calls from all kinds of college’s, I actually ended up accepting a call from the University of Phoenix! I am now enrolled with that exact college, but I understand that they will call repeatedly they have myself and some of my family. If they wont stop the calling by asking them to I would suggest calling your phone company and telling them you want to have those numbers blocked from your phone.

Question by [hi there =)]: Things to do while telemarketing?
I work at a call centre and mostly do outbound calling to previous customers. Barely any of them pick up so I’m trying to think of things to do while between calls?
I got
read a book
String bracelet making
And thats it.
No it isn’t because I am uninterested in my job. I am a born multi-tasker and I hate the constant “doing nothing” thing.
By the way, it has to be kind of subtle, because i work in a cubicle around many other people.

Learn to occupy yourself while you’re at work. Many people come across a time or two where they just get completely bored at work. So bored, they find themselves staring into space and doing absolutely nothing. Whether you’re sitting at a desk or have a mobile job, with these fun and simple strategies, anyone who is just plain bored can keep himself occupied. You can read more tips on things to do at work when you are bored on this link.

Question by Kjelstad: Why do people fall for too good to be true things, like telemarketing scams?
I was just told I won a $ 1000 shopping spree, there was just a small “processing fee”. I said yeah right. I did a web search and found many people fall for it, they have a gut feeling about it, but they just want it to be true so they try it.

If you are thinking I posted this in the wrong section, I didn’t, but I hope I least keep you from a telemarketing scam this Holiday Season. If it sounds too good to be true, it is.

Question by Rosebee: Why is a caller unable to be blocked?
I tried to block a telemarketing company that will not stop calling me. I got a message stating that “this number is unable to be blocked”
Why is this? Is this legal?
I also have my number placed on the “Do Not Call” list, how is this company still calling me?
Best answer:
Answer by Daniel C
One reason why they may be unblockable is that the telemarketing company is using blocks of phone lines that are all tied to their main number. That way when they call, they are not calling from the number that appears on your caller i.d. but from a different line entirely that actually has no number and is called a “coded trunk.” That would make their calls unblockable, because you are trying to block the number that is tied to a coded trunk, not an actual number that is associated with that line.
Another reason why you may not be able to prevent them from calling through the do not call list is you may be a customer of theirs on some regard, or you may have had correspondence with them requesting information. If you are a customer, either directly or through one of their divisions, then they are allowed to call you. They are also allowed to call if they are not-for-profit companies or for political solicitation.
Bill collectors are also exempt from the do-not-call lists.

Set a company up in Canada to call the US so you can avoid any lawsuits arising from the DNC list and purchase a predictive dialer that will run over voip.
Get some telemarketers and a couple of clients that’s all you need.

Question by 4532: Is it common for military recruiters to keep calling?
One of my friend’s daughters just graduated high school last year and has continually been contacted by military recruiters. Even though the girl tells them she is not interested, she is going to college, they keep calling her. One told her that because she is “high performing” that she could choose any job she wanted and that would prevent her from going to Iraq. Her mother said they got her phone number from the high school. Mom equates it to bad telemarketing. I didn’t realize that the high school could give out information.
