Question by Noel: Reveal MedSpa Alase laser hair removal- any good?
I live in the D.C. area and am curious about this new “Alase” laser hair removal offered at Reveal MedSpa. Has anyone had it done? Does it work? For how long? Is everyone really a registered nurse/ nurse assistant? The FDA website says that nobody can advertise “pain-free” laser hair removal but Reveal MedSpa advertises the “Alase” laser to be pain free. I also don’t think it’s FDA approved. It says on the website…
“if you’ve heard that laser- or light-based hair removal may not be an option for you, think again. Reveal is one of the few providers to offer this cutting-edge, FDA-approved technology”
It says Reveal MedSpa offers the FDA-approved technology (laser hair removal) not an FDA-approved laser. It seems like they’re trying to trick people into thinking that the “Alase” is FDA-approved- is this place legit?

no matter what laser hair removal you have done, the hair will grow back. less frequently, yes, but laser hair removal is not a one-time-thing-&-you’re-done.
the *technology* may be FDA approved, but that does not necessarily mean the treatment is.
“if it seems too good to be true, it is.”
my grandma tells me that, and it’s never steered me wrong.

Question by : Laser hair removal experience?
I’m interested in getting laser hair removal but want to hear from people who’ve had it done…
How many appointments did you need?
What part of your body have you/would you have done?
Is is safe to do in bikini and “brazilian” area?
How long did it take for the hair to be completely gone?
Has any hair grown back at all in the treated area?
Does it leave any marks or scars, irritation or swelling?
Is it truly permanently gone for good after your final appointment?
Any other advice or opinions on this subject is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Question by just wondering: Laser hair removal on the face?
what is it like to have laser hair removal on your face? does it sting a lot or easy to tolerate it? How long did the “No hair” results last for you?
Best answer:
Answer by gentletouchlaser.com
Hello,
The tolerance level is different for everyone. For instance when I have had my face done I feel more of a hot snap on the coarser hairs. Also where the skin in thinner, such as the neck area, I tend to feel it more. Again how long it last varies, for me it lasts almost two months until I experience re-growth, for some it might be only one month.

Question by Pure Wisdom: Why do women who aren’t “butch lesbians” keep a large amount of facial hair?
I am a man who has a goatee and I wonder when I see women who have as much or more facial hair to me and they aren’t at least lesbians. I know this because I have seen them with men or with their children. Are you telling me there are men who find this attractive? With electrolysis or laser hair removal, why would any woman have to have that much hair. Let’s not even get on the subject of women with hairy legs!!!!!
Funny the only people who answered were upset, irrate, ugly women. Men know this looks nasty and it is far from feminine. If women can’t afford to have electrolysis or laser, then do wax removal, plucking or take a Bic to that thing and shave it. Any way you slice it, excessive facial hair on women is NASTY.

Question by : I had laser hair removal on my chin a couple weeks ago, and I’m just wondering something?
Is it possible that in ONE treatment my hair could be significantly reduced? I swear I notice a difference already! The hair that pop up now just fall or slide right out, does this mean that a lot of my hairs were killed in the session? I want to be hopeful as I am a “good candidate” light skin, dark hair, but don’t want to be overly hopeful either cause struggling with hair is such a battle if your like me you know not to believe anything really works

Example of one who had them done.
My laser hair removal treatment takes 8 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart to see 60 percent reduction in hair growth. For best results, I got maintenance treatments done once a year for 4 years . Now I don’t want to do this anymore! what is the best way to remove them from now on ?

Question by Jaysmomee: Can someone shed some light on Laser Hair Removal for me?
I am making an appt today with a dermatologist that does laser. I just want them to do some on my face, not too much. But, does it work? How many sessions? is it expensive? covered by some insurances? (yes, I will ask the docs office that also). Is it really permanent, does the hair grow back and if so how long are you “hair free”…Thanks so much for your help! : )

You’re a female, so it shouldn’t take that many treatments.

Question by end-in-sight: Has anybody tried laser hair removal in Australia?
Specifically the “Hairfree” centre; i have an appointment there in two weeks and am interested to hear a review from someone who has used them. Is it worth the money, and does it work? Are they adequately experienced and professional? How long does it last?

havnt been to hairfree but iv been to results laser clinic. they use the most effective laser machine (candela, gentle lase or something like that). its very safe (be careful of dodgy salons where the workers dont even have training in using a laser machine), and the price is reasonable, (approx $ 70 for 5min) but youd be surprised of how much they get done in the 5 min. and yes its very effective, its such a relief not having to worry about shaving/waxing anymore.
check out this site, they have various locations over sydney

Question by : Does laser hair removal work?
When I was younger, I used to “play” with razors. By saying this, I mean that I would shave off hair in random spots on my body, never knowing that hair grows back thicker and longer after you cut it.
I have extra hair (it’s not long, but it’s noticeable) on my navel. From under my belly button to my vagina is a landing strip of sorts, and I don’t like it.
Does laser hair removal actually work, and can it get rid of the hair there?

Answer by Aubrey Beck
Laser does work, but I reccomend getting an epilady or something similar. They are cheaper, and I just find they work better. And by the way, hair does not grow back thicker.
