Do you know a site that can teach FOREX properly?

February 22nd, 2012 5 comments

Question by : Do you know a site that can teach FOREX properly?
It seems that all FOREX sites expect from us that we “do” understand the trading process. For me I know nothing about currency trading. I almost signed up with every site, opened a practice account and went through all the tutorials and teaching materials. But I always feel that they are missing a real introduction for a real beginner. So, any one can help? Pleeeeease !!!!

February 22nd, 2012 No comments

Question by chiller: How do i get rid of telemarketing emails?
I visited a electronic dept. store a few months back and filled out their “chance to win”, and that is when my problems began. I get 60 and over email per day. During the holiday season i receive 360 pieces of email over the weekend. I have tried spamming and blocking them, but they come right back, more often then not they are the same identical email name and addresses. What can i do next to stop them? HELPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!

How to fight spam and scams:

#1: Yahoo has a spamguard filter, but only if multiple users report an address as spam will it be treated as such by the filter.

You have a personal list for blocking addresses in spam options. Anything you mark as spam in Mail classic will be added to that list, in New Yahoo mail adding addresses to the list has to be done manually. If you ever receive anything from those addresses in the future, it will be deleted automatically, you won’t even notice when you got some more crap from them. One problem though: the list of blocked addresses is limited to 500 and spammers often change their address. So you must sometimes delete some of the older blocked addresses to make room for new ones.

Go to this link where everything is explained in detail:

http://help.yahoo.com/us/tutorials/mail/mail/spamguard1.html

#2: The Federal Trade Commission (www.ftc.gov) is supposed to help you eliminate spam mails. Forward spam to: spam@uce.gov, in the subject line enter something like “unsubscribe link results in more spam”, “unwanted spam message”, “no unsubscribe link” or something similar.

When the FTC gets your mail, they will look into the matter and when they find out who the spamming source is, they will take legal actions.

http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/edcams/spam/index.html

#3: Check Mailwasher, it helps to eliminate spam from your inbox…

Set up your email account(s) in MailWasher and hit the “Check Mail” button. It then downloads all new message headers and displays message details alongside each one (priority, subject, from, to, etc.). Any email that MailWasher considers to be spam is highlighted for easy sorting.

Two checkboxes are located next to each message header: “Delete” and “Bounce”. If you click “Delete” the email will be marked for deletion, click “Bounce” and the mail will be marked for bouncing – a fake “address not found” email will be sent to the sender. Once you have decided what to bounce and delete, click “Process Mail” to get it done and your mail client launched for downloading all accepted emails.

MailWasher has a “blacklist” and a “friends list” to enter good and bad email addresses. Addresses in the blacklist are marked for deletion, and addresses in the friends list will be marked as okay. Filters can be set to increase MailWasher’s effectiveness. You can have email addressed to “undisclosed recipients” automatically deleted and bounced for example.

Note: the program is free but limited to one email account. MW Pro supports multiple mail accounts.

Banking corporations that made “Liar Loans” to people on “stated income” are being bailed out by the Feds. Why

February 21st, 2012 2 comments

Question by Sofie Tucker: Banking corporations that made “Liar Loans” to people on “stated income” are being bailed out by the Feds. Why
They didn’t even have to prove themselves to be credit worthy or able to repay. Why should we bail them out? We’re not bailing out the homeowners who got the loans. Neither should be bailed out, in my opinion.

Best answer:

Answer by Randy F
It does not make sense for those bailouts to happen and as a result of that bill passing every politician in my state who supported it did not get my vote. They always put that type of stuff off on the tax payers………

Question by pc: Are life insurance monies considered part of the “estate” of the decedent?
If my mom has thousands in debt when she dies with no other estate to cover it, will her creditors be after me to pay her debts if they know she has a large life insurance policy and I’m the beneficiary?

Best answer:

If they find out, yes.

You are not liable for your Mothers debt but her estate is and if the creditors find out about the life insurance they will take you to court over it.

Does the “talking on your cell phone while driving” ticket effect your insurance now? *CALIFORNIA STATE LAW*?

February 21st, 2012 No comments

Question by fivebodyblade: Does the “talking on your cell phone while driving” ticket effect your insurance now? *CALIFORNIA STATE LAW*?
This is a California State Law question (although maybe this law is federally mandated now, I’m not sure). Anyways, back in July of 2009, I received one of those $ 250 or so tickets for talking on my cell phone while driving. When the ticket was issued, the police officer was adamant about this ticket NOT being a moving violation and therefore NOT effecting my insurance. I also called my insurance provider shortly after and they confirmed what the officer told me. Fast forward to 2011, and I switched insurance providers and low and behold it now counts as a moving violation. I am not trying to fight this thing, it is just very much bugging me that the law might have changed without me knowing. Knowledge is power after all and I prefer to be in the know (especially when it comes to laws.) So please, can anyone who is educated in the field of law let me know if the law has indeed changed to a moving violation in the past two years? Also a bonus would be if anyone could tell me when it changed (greatly appreciated but not at all necessary)? Thank you in advance! Also, I made a judgment call as to what forum I posted this in. It was a toss up between the “Law Enforcement” forum and the “Car Insurance” forum. I went with law enforcement because my question is about the law itself (not about why my insurance premium raised). I hope this was a wise choice and that there are some current police officers reading this that may be able to provide me with a quality answer.

Best answer:

Answer by gomanyes
A cell phone ticket is not a moving violation, and does not result in any points on your DMV record. The law has not changed. However, an insurance company is free to raise your rates for non-moving violations if they choose to do so. It seems like your new insurance carrier does so.

Opinions on “octomom” and plastic surgery?

February 21st, 2012 1 comment

Question by Lynn: Opinions on “octomom” and plastic surgery?
How do you feel about “octomom” not only having 14 children…but admittedly in the past saying she needs much help, (government included) to support them…but appears to have had much plastic surgery done? Is it just me?

Best answer:

Answer by Platypus_Freak82
I think thats stupid. I think its her own fault she has 14 children, she got herself into this mess, she needs to get herself out by HERSELF. I dont think the governments money should go to her, it needs to go to more important things. I may only be 15, but i have a strong opinion agaisnt her.
